Azerbaijan and Pakistan Discuss Regional Security Issues
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, recently engaged in a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar. During the conversation, Minister Dar detailed the recent missile strikes by India on Pakistan that occurred on May 6-7, highlighting the serious impact these attacks had on civilians, resulting in numerous casualties. In retaliation, Pakistan targeted military installations, aiming to mitigate threats against its territory. Minister Dar also mentioned that he had proactively reached out to several foreign counterparts to clarify Pakistan’s position regarding these developments.
In response, Minister Bayramov expressed solidarity with the Pakistani people, condemning the military actions that resulted in civilian harm. He underscored the necessity of preventing further escalation of tensions and expressed hope for a resolution through diplomatic means and dialogue.
