Azerbaijani President Backs Syria’s New Government

President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, recently expressed his views on the relationship between Syria and Armenia during the previous leadership. Speaking at an international forum with the theme “Facing the New World Order” at the ADA University, President Aliyev highlighted the pro-Armenian and anti-Azerbaijani stance taken by Syria in the past.
He mentioned that there were numerous political contacts between the Armenian and Syrian leadership during that time. However, President Aliyev also pointed out the hypocrisy of the current Armenian government, which is now attempting to send humanitarian assistance to Syria. He expressed hope that the new Syrian government would not allow these hypocritical individuals to gain ground in the country.
President Aliyev reassured his support for the new government of Syria and emphasized the importance of not letting the enemies of the new regime, like the Armenian government, to find a foothold in the country. His comments shed light on the complex political dynamics in the region and underscore the need for understanding and diplomacy in international relations.
