Azerbaijan’s Broad Money Supply Increases in March 2025
According to the latest data released by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), as of March 1, 2025, the country’s broad money supply (M3) reached 46.675 billion manats ($27.45 billion). This reflects a 2.4% increase from the previous month, a 0.4% rise since the beginning of the year, and a 4.3% growth compared to the same period in 2024.
The money supply (M2) in manats exceeded 35.436 billion manats ($20.845 billion), marking a 2% monthly increase but a 3.3% decline since the start of the year. However, it showed a 3.4% rise compared to the same period last year.
During the same timeframe, the money supply (M1) amounted to 28.156 billion manats ($16.562 billion), indicating a 1.9% monthly decline, a 5% drop since the beginning of the year, and 1.7% lower levels compared to March 2024.
Additionally, the cash mass outside banks (M0) stood at 15.550 billion manats ($9.147 billion), reflecting a 1.7% increase from the previous month, a 1.9% decrease since the beginning of the year, and a 2% rise compared to the same period last year.
