Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participates in panel discussion at Antalya Diplomacy Forum
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum recently held a panel session focused on the transformative power of education in a fragmented world. The event was attended by the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva.
Before the session, attendees had the opportunity to visit the stand of the African Culture House, which aims to empower African women by promoting their handicrafts and fostering cultural solidarity. The forum, supported by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, showcased the Foundation’s global impact, with nearly 70,000 students enrolled in its schools across 55 countries.
During the panel discussion, the importance of educational development in today’s world was extensively explored. Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan emphasized the crucial role of education in promoting social inclusion and sustainable development, especially in a time of increased conflict.
The session also featured students from the Turkish Maarif Foundation school in Côte d’Ivoire, who performed songs in different languages, highlighting the diversity and richness of educational experiences. Overall, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum provided a platform for meaningful discussions on how education can shape the future in a world facing various challenges.
