Azerbaijan’s Persimmon Export Revenue Surges Nearly 17%

Azerbaijan Sees Growth in Persimmon Exports in Early 2025
In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan achieved a significant milestone in its agricultural export sector, exporting persimmons valued at $32.3 million. This figure marks a robust increase of 16.6%, or $4.6 million, compared to the same period in 2024, when the country’s persimmon exports were recorded at $27.7 million.
This data comes from the April edition of the Export Review published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. The center highlighted that this remarkable growth is part of a broader trend, as Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports also surged by 14.7% year-on-year, reaching a total of $771.9 million in value for the first quarter of 2025.
These figures underscore Azerbaijan’s growing position in the global agricultural market, showcasing the country’s potential for further export development in the coming years. The increase in persimmon exports is a promising indicator of the agricultural sector’s resilience and the effectiveness of export strategies implemented by the nation.
