MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli Breaks Silence on Sinan Ateş Case
In a surprising turn of events, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has finally spoken out about the concluded Sinan Ateş case. The murder case of Sinan Ateş, the former Ülkü Ocakları Chairman, has come to a close, and Bahçeli was asked to share his thoughts on the decision.

Regarding the recent handshake between himself and DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan at the Grand National Assembly General Assembly, Bahçeli explained that it was a manifestation of support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s call. In light of the upcoming closed session in the Turkish Grand National Assembly on October 8, Bahçeli expressed his approval of the decision to address the ongoing attacks and genocide in Gaza by Israel. In the Sinan Ateş case, the shooter Eray Özyağcı and the instigators Doğukan Çep and Tolgahan Demirbaş were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment. Additionally, a total of 11 defendants received prison sentences, while 5 individuals were acquitted, and 6 people were subject to evacuation orders.
