Ban on Rallies in Bishkek Center Extended until March
The Pervomaisky District Court in Bishkek has extended the ban on rallies in the city center until March 31, 2025. This decision was announced by the court’s press service and reported by the 24.kg news agency.
According to the ruling, protests can only be held in Maxim Gorky Park, with all other areas in the city center off limits for demonstrations. This includes Ala-Too Square, Erkindik Boulevard, and various government buildings such as the Parliament, presidential administration, and Supreme Court.
The ban on rallies in the city center has been in place since March 2022, in an effort to maintain public order and prevent any potential conflicts. The only exception to this rule is for state and municipal official events held on Ala-Too Square.
It is important for citizens to abide by these regulations and respect the decision of the court in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in Bishkek.
