In cooperation with Cochlear Implant Association Türkiye and TIKA, “We Succeeded Together, Now It’s Time to Be Inspired” events started at Near East University.

Hearing health, cochlear implant experiences and social awareness will be discussed in the three-day program. Speaking at the opening of the event, Minister of Health Hakan Dicyurek drew attention to the importance of hearing and emphasized early diagnosis.

The opening of the program, which was held at the Near East University Grand Library, started with the reading of the National Anthem and a moment of silence.

Speaking at the opening, Minister of Health Hakan Dıçyürek stated that he believed that the event held in the field of hearing health would produce important results. Stating that the meeting will make significant contributions to science, patients and the future, Dinçyürek drew attention to the importance of hearing skills in the life of the individual.

Dinçyürek said that this skill directly affects the productivity and quality of life of the individual, from the education process to professional life.

Noting that protecting hearing ability is of great importance, Dinçyürek stated that early diagnosis and treatment play a critical role at this point.

Dinçyürek said, “As the Ministry of Health, I would like to hear the results and say that we will do whatever we can.”

After the speech, a performance and video screening of young implant users was held.

Then, the activities within the scope of the program started.

A painting exhibition was also opened within the scope of the event.
