The Council of Ministers decided to apply a subsidy of 2.5 TL/Kg to hard wheat and 1.5 TL/Kg to soft wheat.
The decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding wheat were published in the Official Gazette. According to the decision, in order to prevent the producers from suffering, it was decided to apply a 2.5 TL/kg subsidy for 3.7 million kilos of local hard wheat purchased by the Soil Products Institution at a price of 11 TL per kilo between July 5 and September 16; Hard wheat will be sold at 8.5 TL/kg.
On the other hand, it was decided to apply a subsidy of 1.5 TL per kilo for 7.6 million kilos of domestic soft wheat purchased by the Institution at 10 TL. It was stated that soft wheat will be sold at 8.5 TL/Kg.
It is stated that it was decided to cover the required resource of 20.8 million TL from the Payments to Other Enterprises item under the 2024 Fiscal Year Budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
