Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan Trade Turnover Surges by 41.1%
Trade between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan sees significant increase
Trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan has seen a substantial increase of 41.1 percent, according to reports from the government of Bashkortostan. This impressive growth was achieved in the first four months of this year.
Margarita Bolycheva, head of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities, highlighted the positive development, stating that “in the first four months of this year, an increase in mutual trade with Kyrgyzstan was achieved by 41.1 percent.”
Various products including mineral resources, metals, chemical industry products, rubber, wood, pulp, and paper products are being exported from Bashkortostan to Kyrgyzstan. This trade activity helps to advance the goals of the national project “International Cooperation and Export.”
By the end of 2023, Kyrgyz Republic secured the eighth position in the total volume of trade turnover in the region. Additionally, Kyrgyzstan has climbed six positions in the ranking of Bashkortostan counterparties, indicating a strengthening trade relationship between the two regions.
