Benefits for Fallen Soldiers: Family to Receive ₮300 Million Home
The Office of the President of Mongolia has recently announced a draft law on Amendments to the Law on Pensions and Benefits of Military Servicemen. According to the information provided, if a military serviceman dies during specific situations such as on the battlefield, peacekeeping operations, or while performing their duties required by law, their family will be granted a pension regardless of the number of children or disabled persons.
Furthermore, the law stipulates that the salary of the military serviceman will be paid to the youngest child until they reach the age of 18. Additionally, the government will provide an apartment with a minimum area of 80 square meters to the family of the deceased military serviceman. The cost of the apartment is set at 500 times the minimum wage, equivalent to 300 million MNT at the current exchange rate.
These amendments aim to provide financial and housing support to the families of military servicemen who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. The proposed law underscores the government’s commitment to honoring and supporting the families of those who have served in the armed forces.
