Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat Reveals Choice of Coach – Latest Sports Update
The search for a new coach is still ongoing at Beşiktaş following the dismissal of Fernando Santos. Hasan Arat, a key figure at the club, has revealed that there is a 50 percent chance that the new coach will either be a foreigner or a local candidate.
According to reports from Sabah news, Arat’s primary target for the coaching position is a foreign coach. However, it has been made clear that the coaches who were previously interviewed before Santos will not be reconsidered. This means that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is currently not being favored by Beşiktaş.
Among the local candidates, one name stands out prominently – Sergen Yalçın. The black and white management seems to be leaning towards Yalçın, who has expressed his intention to leave Antalyaspor at the end of the season and is open to returning to Beşiktaş.
In addition to Yalçın, another local coach candidate being considered is Şenol Güneş, as suggested by an authorized manager on the board of directors.
Unfortunately, the club has received a negative response from Nuri Şahin, who recently left Antalyaspor to become Edin Terzic’s assistant at Borussia Dortmund.
