Beykoz Deputy Mayor Fidan Gül: A Brief Biography
Fidan Gül, the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, was born in 1979 in Elazığ. He spent his formative years in Elazığ, where he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education. In 1997, Gül pursued his passion for history and enrolled in the Department of History at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Letters, where he successfully graduated in 2001.
Continuing his academic journey, Gül went on to complete a master’s degree in Educational Sciences (Pedagogical Formation) at Istanbul University’s Institute of Social Sciences between 2001 and 2002. Concurrently, he also served as a history teacher at Küçükçekmece İsmet Transfer Anadolu Technical High School.
In 2012-2013, Gül furthered his studies by obtaining a master’s degree in education management and supervision from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.
With a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to 2014, Gül held positions as a training manager in various classrooms and private schools across Küçükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, and Bakırköy. In 2014, he assumed the role of Director of Culture and Social Affairs at Beylikdüzü Municipality, later transitioning to Sports Affairs Directorate in 2017.
Since 2023, Gül has contributed his expertise as a nursery manager, showcasing his dedication to education and community development. His remarkable professional journey led to his appointment as the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz by Alaattin Köseler in May 2024.
