Bishkek City Hall Allocates 3.5 Billion Soms for Social Facilities
Bishkek City Hall has announced the allocation of 3.5 billion soms from the local budget for the construction of social facilities. Mayor of the capital, Aibek Dzhunushaliev, made this announcement at a joint meeting of the parliamentary factions Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan, Ishenim, Yntymak, and Mekenchil parliamentary group.
Of the allocated funds, 1.6 billion soms will be used for the construction of roads and bridges, while at least 1 billion soms has been designated for utilities to purchase special equipment. Mayor Dzhunushaliev emphasized that this level of investment in social facilities has never been seen in the history of the municipality.
During the meeting, Mayor Dzhunushaliev presented a report to deputies on the socio-economic situation of the capital, ongoing development initiatives, achievements, and challenges. He also provided updates on the progress of the administrative-territorial reform being implemented in the city.
