The Blind Fest Festival Set to Take Place in Bishkek
Bishkek is gearing up to host the Blind Fest Festival on November 13, as reported by the Kyrgyz Federation of the Blind on social media. The festival aims to draw attention to the challenges and opportunities for the development of people with visual impairments through positive and peaceful methods.
The festival will kick off with a march starting at noon at the intersection of Erkindik Boulevard and Bokonbaev Street, and will conclude near Bishkek Park shopping center, where the main events will take place. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including learning the basics of writing using the Braille system, cooking using the “blind” method, and even experiencing activities such as riding a tandem bicycle and running as an accompanying person with a blind para-athlete.
The highlight of the festival will be a large conference aimed at discussing the adaptation of the blind to a full life and the features of their inclusion in modern society. This event seeks to shed light on the challenges faced by the visually impaired and the ways in which society can help them lead fulfilling lives.
The Blind Fest Festival is a unique opportunity for the public to gain a better understanding of the daily experiences of the visually impaired and to show support for their integration into all aspects of society. It promises to be an enlightening and enriching experience for all who attend.
