A majestic military parade took place in Bishkek today to commemorate Victory Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, veterans, and citizens who gathered in celebration of this significant historical milestone.
President Sadyr Japarov began the festivities by laying flowers at the Eternal Flame on Victory Square. In his address to the crowd at the central square, he extended heartfelt congratulations to all attendees on this momentous occasion, signifying the nation’s respect and gratitude towards those who fought for freedom.
The parade featured an impressive display of military prowess, starting with the iconic T-34 tank from the Great Patriotic War. Among the modern assets highlighted were advanced drones such as the Bayraktar, Aksungur, and Akinci, along with the robust Pechora and S-300 surface-to-air missile systems.
