Bishkek Locals Catch Teens with Hidden Drugs
Residents of the Altyn-Ordo housing estate in Bishkek took matters into their own hands by catching a group of teenagers who were hiding drugs in stashes. A video of the incident was shared in the media, showcasing the vigilance of the local community.
The video depicted three individuals, with the person behind the camera stating that there were initially four teenagers involved in the act. The Department of Internal Affairs of Oktyabsky district confirmed the incident, which took place on January 26.
Following the citizens’ intervention, three 16-year-old boys were apprehended and taken to the Department of Internal Affairs for further investigation. The confiscated drugs were subsequently sent for examination to determine their nature and potency.
The proactive actions of the Bishkek residents highlight the importance of community involvement in combating illegal activities and maintaining public safety.
