Bishkek Ranks 7th in World Air Quality Ranking
In a recent report, Bishkek has been ranked as the 7th city with the best air quality in the world. According to the World Air Quality ranking, as of 6 p.m. on January 3, 2024, the city’s air quality index (AQI) was 158, marking it as “unhealthy”. The ranking provides real-time information on air quality in cities across the globe.
The U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan has also installed a station to monitor air quality, with the current AQI in the area being 151, also classified as “unhealthy”. This information is updated every hour to provide an accurate and up-to-date assessment of the air quality in the area.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is divided into six categories, with values above 300 indicating hazardous air quality and values below 50 representing good air quality.
