Bishkek’s Illegal Casino Busted by Authorities
A criminal group that organized an illegal casino in Bishkek has been detected as part of a criminal case initiated into the organizing of illegal gambling activities, reports the press center of the State Committee for National Security.
It is important to note that opening casinos without obtaining the appropriate license is prohibited in the republic.
According to the statement released by the authorities, “Illegal games were periodically organized through Telegram, for which premises were rented in various public institutions.”
In connection with this case, 48 people, including organizers and participants in the illegal gambling activities, were detained and questioned. The casino organizer has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The authorities have assured that appropriate investigative and operational measures are being carried out in order to address this issue.
This recent bust serves as a reminder that illegal gambling activities will not be tolerated in Bishkek and that law enforcement agencies are committed to taking action against those who attempt to organize such activities.
