New Bishkek Buses Sold for Over 21 Million Soms
Bishkek, 09 January 2024 – The old buses in Bishkek have been sold for a sum of 21,391,600 soms, as reported by the press service of the City Hall to 24.kg news agency.
The City Hall stated that in order to make space for new buses, the Bishkek Passenger Motor Transport Enterprise had submitted an application for the sale of the old buses. The Municipal Property Management Department then announced a competition for the sale, receiving a total of 566 applications. In the end, 386 units of vehicles were sold for a sum of 21,391,600 soms, all of which were transferred to the city budget.
This sale marks a significant step in the modernization of public transportation in Bishkek and is expected to contribute to the improvement of the city’s overall transportation system.
