
Body Wrapped in Carpet Thrown Into Sea – Breaking News Shockwaves

Yavuz Güngör, the main suspect in the murder case of Sedef Güler, has been a wanted man after the discovery of the victim’s body wrapped in a carpet in the sea in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. Police conducted operations in 14 different locations in Istanbul in search of Güngör, but he remained elusive. Intelligence reports indicated that Güngör had been in contact with human traffickers and was attempting to flee abroad through Edirne. Eventually, the suspect was apprehended in the Elçili village of Edirne by Gendarmerie teams.
During the interrogation process at the Istanbul Public Order Branch Directorate, Yavuz Güngör denied the murder allegations, claiming that Sedef Güler died of natural causes. He confessed to consuming alcohol and drugs with the victim and admitted to panicking upon finding her lifeless in the morning. He further revealed that he decided to dispose of the body in a state of fear and panic, with the assistance of a friend.
It was later discovered that Yavuz Güngör had previously been sentenced to 8 years and 4 months in prison for drug-related offenses. He was also wanted for other crimes, including the escape of convicts and detainees, possession of unlicensed firearms, trafficking drugs, and deliberate murder.
Following the completion of procedures at the police station, Güngör was escorted to the courthouse without incident. Despite being questioned about the murder, he remained silent and was subsequently released on probation. The case continues to unfold as further investigations are conducted into the circumstances surrounding Sedef Güler’s tragic death.
