Brazil Sets Date for Pre-COP30 Announcement

Upcoming Pre-COP Meeting in Brazil to Set Agenda for Climate Conference
The preliminary meeting for the upcoming climate conference, known as pre-COP, is scheduled to take place on October 13-14 in Brazil. This event, organized by the COP30 committee, will convene ministers and key negotiators focused on climate issues.
The primary objective of the pre-COP meeting is to forge preliminary agreements on critical topics that will be addressed at the main climate conference scheduled from November 10 to 21 in Belém, Brazil.
An anticipated turnout of up to 50 international delegations is expected, reflecting the global importance of the discussions. The meeting serves as an essential precursor to the larger COP event, traditionally held about a month prior, and will also welcome observers from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
As nations continue to grapple with the realities of climate change, this gathering promises to play a pivotal role in shaping the agenda for future negotiations and strategies.
