Breaking News: Forest Fire Ravages Izmir
A wildfire has erupted in the forested area located to the west of the ring road in the Buca district, with the cause of the fire currently unknown. Upon receiving reports of the fire, teams from the Regional Directorate of Forestry have been deployed to the affected region.
The blaze is being battled in the wind-affected area with the help of 4 aircraft, 3 helicopters, 14 water tankers, 6 water supply vehicles, and 5 bulldozers. Efforts are underway to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
Another forest fire has also ignited in the Yayakent District of Aliağa district, perilously close to residential areas. To combat this fire, 1 helicopter, 5 water tankers, and 1 water supply vehicle have been mobilized to the scene.
Similarly, a fire has broken out in the forest area near Egekent District in Çiğli district, prompting land and air interventions to tackle the flames. The authorities are working tirelessly to bring the situation under control and protect both the environment and nearby communities.
