Breaking News: Images of Murat Ongun’s Arrest Revealed – Weapons and Stacks of Money Found
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Imamoglu and 99 suspects for alleged involvement in a criminal organization. The suspects are facing charges including bribery, fraud, seizing personal data, violating tenders, and assisting the PKK/KCK terrorist organization.
One of the suspects, Murat Ongun, was recently taken into custody at his home as part of the ongoing investigation. Images from the incident show Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Branch Directorate teams arriving at Ongun’s house and his lawyer opening the door for them. The images also depict the moment when the decision for the search at Ongun’s house was carried out, as well as the examination of documents by Ongun and his lawyer.
During the search of Ongun’s residence in Beykoz, a large sum of foreign currency, Turkish Lira, hunting rifles, and ammunition were discovered. The images from the search highlight the items found in Ongun’s possession.
The investigation into the alleged criminal activities of the IMM President and other suspects is ongoing, as authorities work to uncover more evidence related to the charges.
