BREAKING NEWS: Last images of missing person Narin found in Diyarbakır!
The rural Tavşantepe Neighborhood in the Bağlar district was the setting for a heartbreaking incident that has left the community in shock. On August 21, during the midday hours, Narin Güran, a young girl attending a Quran course, failed to return home as expected. Her family, concerned for her well-being, immediately launched a search effort within the village but to no avail. When their efforts proved fruitless, they reached out to the authorities and reported the disappearance to the 112 Emergency Call Center around 9:00 PM.
In response to the report, a multitude of agencies including the Gendarmerie, AFAD, health teams, and scent dogs were deployed to the area to assist in the search and rescue operations. The Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) Team, along with around 200 gendarmerie personnel and AFAD, are tirelessly working on the ground while a gendarmerie helicopter provides air support. Additionally, the Metropolitan Municipality Underwater Search teams are assisting in the efforts to locate Narin.
During the search, a child’s slipper was discovered on the roadside, approximately 3 kilometers from Narin’s home. The slipper was identified by Narin’s parents and is currently undergoing examination at a laboratory. Despite the discovery, the search for Narin persists on the second day, with JAK teams focusing on the irrigation canal, where water levels have been lowered to aid in the search.
Narin’s father, Arif Güran, expressed his gratitude for the support they have received from various agencies and emphasized the need for the state’s involvement in determining the whereabouts of their daughter. He highlighted the importance of handing over any information or clues to the authorities for the sake of finding Narin and bringing her home safely.
Meanwhile, Narin’s mother, Yüksel Güran, made an emotional plea to the public, urging anyone with information about her daughter’s whereabouts to come forward. She described the last moments she shared with Narin before her disappearance, emphasizing her daughter’s intelligence and good nature.
As the search effort continues, Minister Yerlikaya met with Narin’s father to offer support and assistance in the search for his daughter. Despite the intensive efforts put forth by the authorities and volunteers, Narin’s family remains hopeful for her safe return and appeals to the community to assist in any way they can.
The disappearance of Narin has deeply affected her family and the entire community, prompting an outpouring of support and prayers for her safe return. The state’s mobilization and ongoing search efforts demonstrate a collective commitment to finding Narin and bringing her back to her loved ones.
