President Erdogan expressed his gratitude to the civil administration officers who dedicatedly serve at the “Governors Meeting” held at the Presidential Complex. Congratulating the governors, deputy governors, and district governors for their services on “January 10 Administrators Day,” President Erdogan also extended his thanks to those who lost their lives or were martyred while on duty.
During his speech, President Erdogan emphasized that the state is an organization where the wisdom and will of nations united around common goals are embodied. He stated that the Turkish state tradition is a product of thousands of years of accumulated wisdom and experience.
President Erdogan highlighted that the core of their state concept has always been based on values such as justice and conscience, rather than materialistic ideals. Underlining the importance of humanity and justice, President Erdogan quoted the words of Aliya Izetbegovic, emphasizing that their state understanding focuses on human dignity and compassion.
He emphasized the importance of the governorship office, which represents the President in the provinces, as the sole point where the state integrates with the people. President Erdogan reiterated that the religion of the state is justice.
President Erdogan then continued by addressing the governors, emphasizing the importance of being compassionate towards those in need of the state’s care. He stressed the significance of valuing justice and equality for all citizens regardless of their background.
President Erdogan also touched upon the current developments in Syria, emphasizing the need for international support for the reconstruction of the country. He stated that Turkey would continue to support Syrian refugees who voluntarily wish to return to their homeland.
In his remarks, President Erdogan underscored the critical role of the governors, especially in the border regions, in managing the new phase in Syria. He highlighted the importance of maintaining good relations with Syria on the basis of mutual respect and territorial integrity.
President Erdogan concluded by stating that Turkey’s goal is to eliminate the burden that has been inflicted on the country for 40 years and to work towards a terrorism-free Turkey. He expressed his commitment to achieving the vision of a century of brotherhood and development for Turkey with the collaborative efforts of the governors.
