BREAKING NEWS: Turkey Refuses Meeting with Terrorist Organization Following ‘Slip of the Tongue’ Incident
Turkey will not meet with any terrorist organization, according to sources from the Ministry in response to a statement made by the US State Department regarding a ceasefire agreement with the PKK/YPG/SDF. Ministry officials believe there was a slip of the tongue in the statement made by the US spokesperson.
Regarding reports of Russian elements being shifted from Syria to Libya, the Ministry sources stated that there is uncertainty about the Russian presence in Syria. However, there are reports of Russian ships and systems being taken to Libya, and it remains to be seen whether this move is permanent or temporary.
In addition, Ministry sources criticized the US for still supporting the PKK/YPG in Syria, using DAESH as a justification. The Turkish government has repeatedly offered to allocate its own forces for the fight against DAESH, but the US has not shown interest in this proposal. The Ministry views the US’s rhetoric about fighting DAESH as a cover for continuing cooperation with the PKK/YPG and expects the US to re-evaluate its position in the near future.
