President Erdoğan’s Remarks on Trip to Northern Cyprus and the Future of Turkish Cypriots
In a recent statement, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed members of the press, expressing heartfelt greetings and respect. He announced the completion of a day trip to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), where he inaugurated the Republic Complex, built in just three years by Turkey.
This complex, which spans over 25,210 square meters, includes the presidential office, two conference halls accommodating 600 people each, a reception hall for 400 guests, 52 offices, and parking for 109 vehicles. Additionally, the Assembly building covers 20,000 square meters and houses the presidency and prime minister’s offices, a general assembly hall with a capacity of 157, and five meeting rooms for ministers.
Erdoğan also highlighted the establishment of a "People’s Mosque" for 2,252 worshippers and a "National Garden" designed with 290,000 square meters of green space. He declared that construction of the Supreme Court and the National Library, the final phases of the project, has begun.
