BRTK Awards Winners of Space Essay Contest
The Ministry of National Education and Cooperative Central Bank (Koopbank) recently organized a composition competition on the theme of “Space”, culminating in an award ceremony to honor the winners. Approximately 300 students participated in the competition, showcasing their creativity through compositions that were evaluated by a panel of judges.
The event was attended by Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Koopbank Chairman Haluk Yerli, and Koopbank General Manager Kemal Ataman, along with ministry officials, bank executives, award-winning students, their families, and teachers. The ceremony took place at the Koopbank Headquarters Building Conference Hall, where the winners were recognized for their outstanding work.
In his speech, Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized the importance of dreaming and setting goals to achieve those dreams. He highlighted the significance of discussing the concept of “space” in the competition and commended the students for their imaginative explorations of the topic. Çavuşoğlu expressed optimism about the future achievements of the youth who participated in the competition and stressed the role of education in shaping their aspirations.
Koopbank Chairman Haluk Yerli and General Manager Kemal Ataman also spoke at the ceremony, underlining the value of dreaming and curiosity in the pursuit of success. Yerli shared personal anecdotes about his childhood fascination with space exploration and encouraged students to embrace their dreams. Ataman drew inspiration from the journey of Alper Gezeravcı, the first Turkish citizen in space, and praised the students for their insightful compositions.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards and plaques to the winners, honorable mentions, and recipients of Koopbank Incentive Awards. The names of the top performers were announced, including Ekin Ekici, Asmin Eren, Çelen Ulunay, Beril Bayraktar, Sahil Karadağlı, Şengül Yurtoğlu, and others who were recognized for their exceptional contributions.
