
Brush Fire in Kırklareli – Latest News from Turkey

A stubble fire near the Kırklareli Dam was quickly extinguished by emergency responders after spreading across the grassland due to windy conditions.
The fire, of unknown origin, broke out near the dam, prompting the fire department, Forest Management Directorate, AFAD teams, and construction equipment from the Provincial Special Administration to be dispatched to the scene. The response teams worked tirelessly for approximately 2 hours to contain and extinguish the flames, utilizing the Anti-Crime Response Vehicle to assist in the efforts.
In a show of solidarity, police teams carried water in canisters to areas where fire trucks were unable to reach, aiding in the firefighting efforts. Despite the combined efforts of the emergency responders, 300 decares of land, as well as agricultural equipment in the gardens of some vineyard houses, were damaged in the blaze.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire, but are investigating the incident further to prevent any future occurrences. The quick response and teamwork of the emergency responders helped to mitigate the damage caused by the stubble fire near the Kırklareli Dam.
