“Buce Buse Kahraman selects Pelin for Kingfisher series role!”
Buçe Buse Kahraman, who plays Pelin in Turkish TV series The Kingfisher, has a love for portraying extreme and opposite roles. Despite facing harsh criticism on social media for her character, Kahraman enjoys taking on roles that are vastly different from her own personality.
During an interview with Sabah newspaper’s YouTube page, the actress shared her thoughts on playing characters that are the complete opposite of her personality. Kahraman believes that these challenging roles help her improve as an actress and add something new to her repertoire.
Kahraman explained, “I would like to play every character, more opposite to myself, more extreme than my own feelings. That’s why I like the character of Pelin. Sometimes a scene comes up. I say this is something I will never do. I’m starting to think about it. Something new is born and adds something to me. That’s why I would love to play opposite characters more.”
The actress also revealed that she aspires to play roles such as a serial killer or a character with noticeable insanity to further her acting skills and take on more diverse characters in the future.
While facing criticism for her role as Pelin, Kahraman remains motivated to take on eccentric roles and to explore new aspects of her acting abilities.
