Budapest’s Vivicittá Race Breaks Participation Record

The 40th Telekom Vivicittá running festival in Budapest has made history with a record-breaking 31,530 participants, the highest turnout ever for the event. The Budapest Sport Office (BSI) announced that this year’s race not only surpassed the previous participation record but also set new milestones in terms of international runners and female participation.

Over 3,300 runners from 106 countries traveled to Budapest for the event, with international participants making up a significant portion of the half marathon field. The largest foreign contingents came from Germany, Slovakia, and France. Additionally, runners from 1,177 Hungarian towns and cities joined the event, with half of the Hungarian participants coming from outside the capital.
