Buğra Kavuncu: The Hidden Truths and Behind-the-Scenes Battles – Latest News from Turkey

Buğra Kavuncu, the mayoral candidate for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) from the IYI Party, recently met with citizens in Çatalca National Sovereignty Park as part of his election campaign activities. During the meeting, he engaged in discussions with İsmail İp, the party’s district mayoral candidate.
In his statement to the press, Kavuncu emphasized the importance of criticism over compliments. He stated that while compliments and praise may not prove a person wrong, constructive criticism is more valuable in assessing and improving one’s performance.
Kavuncu expressed his belief that Turkey needs a young and dynamic cadre to lead the country into the new decades. He affirmed that the IYI Party will continue its political journey independently, advocating for a free-minded and conscientious approach.
Highlighting the current political environment in Turkey as “bipolar,” Kavuncu warned that a shift towards a single-party structure could occur if one of the dominant parties were to be defeated. He stressed the importance of having political parties like the IYI Party that offer a different perspective and vision for the country.
Following the meeting at the park, Kavuncu visited a neighborhood market to listen to the suggestions and complaints of the citizens. He reiterated his commitment to representing the people’s interests both in Çatalca and throughout the 81 provinces and nearly 1000 districts and municipalities.
As the election approaches on March 31, Kavuncu expressed confidence in the support of the Turkish nation and emphasized the collective effort needed to achieve positive results. By engaging with citizens and promoting a vision for the future, Kavuncu aims to bring about meaningful change and progress for Istanbul and beyond.
