Building Construction Begins in Kochkor Village under State Mortgage Program
On June 29, 2024, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, participated in a significant event in the village of Kochkor, Naryn region. He laid a capsule at the construction site of a residential building that will provide 5,000 apartments under the program of the State Mortgage Company (SMC).
This initiative is part of a larger effort to construct multi-storey residential buildings across the country through the SMC program. Akylbek Japarov highlighted the progress being made, with over 11,000 apartments currently in development and approximately 5,000 expected to be completed by the end of the year. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen of Kyrgyzstan has access to affordable housing.
During the ceremony, Akylbek Japarov also referenced a recent meeting led by President Sadyr Japarov, underscoring the government’s dedication to addressing the housing needs of its citizens. The event was attended by key individuals including Kanybek Tumanbaev, head of the state’s chief of staff, and local district activists.
The construction of these residential buildings represents a significant step towards providing sustainable housing solutions for the people of Kyrgyzstan. This endeavor reflects the government’s determination to improve living standards and create opportunities for all residents to have a place to call home.
