Burdur Bus Burnings: 6 Private Public Buses Destroyed in Arson Attacks
A devastating fire broke out in the parking lot of the Burdur Private Public Buses Cooperative in Aydınlıkevler District, resulting in the damage of 6 private public buses. The incident, which quickly spread from one bus to the others, prompted the dispatch of 112 Emergency Health, fire brigade, and police teams to the scene.
Thanks to the swift intervention of the fire brigades, the fire was extinguished before it could completely destroy all the buses. Unfortunately, 5 buses were left unusable, while one bus narrowly escaped burning as its windows exploded due to the intense heat.
Burdur Municipality Fire Chief Mehmet Ali Ballak commended the efforts of the fire trucks and personnel in controlling the fire. He mentioned that an investigation will be launched to determine the cause of the fire and expressed his well wishes for the affected vehicle owners.
Erkan Gedik, one of the vehicle owners, shared his shock upon arriving at the scene and witnessing his bus engulfed in flames. He mentioned that the teams are actively investigating the cause of the fire.
