Buse Savaşkan’s Debut on BRTK
Turkish Cypriot high jumper Buse Savaşkan is set to make history in the country’s athletics scene. The talented athlete, who is currently training under the guidance of renowned Ukrainian coach Gennadi Zuiev in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics, is gearing up to compete in the prestigious “Diamond League” alongside some of the world’s best athletes.
Savaşkan will be making her debut in the Diamond League tomorrow in France, followed by another exciting appearance in Marrakech, Morocco on May 19. With a personal best jump of 1.91 meters, she is aiming to surpass her own record and showcase her skills on an international stage, representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with pride.
Looking ahead, Savaşkan is determined to push her limits and set new standards for herself as she continues her Olympic journey. She has her sights set on the upcoming “Balkan Senior Championship” in Izmir on 24-25 May, where she will strive to excel and make her mark in the world of athletics.
