Business Executives Arrested in Connection with Kamchi Kolbaev
Kyrgyz authorities detain entrepreneurs associated with organized crime leader

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has detained entrepreneurs connected to the late leader of the organized crime group Kamchi Kolbaev, according to a report from the SCNS press center.
The SCNS stated that the suspects fraudulently misappropriated money from Russian investors on a large scale, utilizing the patronage of the so-called crime boss Kamchybek Asanbek.
In 2018, a Russian citizen invested $14 million in the construction of a cottage community in the Issyk-Kul region as part of a strategic partnership agreement with Iceo LLC.
“However, after the construction of the cottage community in Korumdu village, Issyk-Kul region, the suspects, using the criminal connections of Kamchybek Asanbek and threatening with physical violence, took possession of the investor’s property and money and forced him to leave Kyrgyzstan,” the SCNS stressed.
The SCNS has detained two owners of Iceo LLC and the chief accountant, and the investigation is ongoing.
