Aksaray’s Ortaköy District: Car Catches Fire on Ankara-Niğde Highway
A frightening incident took place in the Bozkır village area of Aksaray’s Ortaköy district on the busy Ankara-Niğde Highway. The driver, identified as MG (32), was driving his car when smoke suddenly started billowing out from the engine compartment.
Reacting quickly, MG pulled over to the side of the road to assess the situation. However, the smoke soon turned into flames, engulfing the engine and causing a massive fire. Authorities were alerted, and both gendarmerie and fire brigade teams quickly arrived on the scene.
Ortaköy Municipality Fire Department teams were able to respond promptly, but unfortunately, the car was almost completely destroyed by the fire and rendered unusable. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
