A Tofaş brand car crashes into iron barrier on highway in Turkey
According to recent reports, a Tofaş brand car with plate number 78 BV 771, driven by OT, lost control and crashed into an iron barrier on the Ankara direction of the Izmit crossing of the highway. The accident left both the driver OT and B.Ö. slightly injured.
Emergency services were promptly notified and health personnel, as well as gendarmerie teams, were dispatched to the scene. B.Ö. was given first aid at the location and then transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Despite sustaining minor injuries, driver OT declined to be taken to the hospital. Gendarmerie officers secured the area and maintained traffic flow to a single lane until the car was removed from the road. Unfortunately, the vehicle was declared unusable due to the collision.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the accident. As of now, traffic has returned to normal in the area. We will provide updates as the story unfolds.
