Car plunges into Chirchik River with passengers onboard
The Tashkent regional police department has issued a statement regarding a video circulating online showing a car and individuals floating along a river.
The video depicts a Spark car submerged in water and floating along the river in the city of Chirchik, with passengers surrounding it. Thankfully, all citizens who were in the river have been rescued by the city’s emergency situations department, and there have been no reported casualties as a result of the incident.
Efforts are currently underway to remove the car from the water, and further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of water safety and the need for caution around bodies of water. In a previous incident reported by Kun.uz, a Nexia-2 car fell into a canal in the Syrdarya region, resulting in the tragic loss of five lives.
