Central Asian Nations Plan to Export Renewable Energy to Europe

Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan have come to an agreement on the technical conditions for the export of “green” energy and the establishment of a joint venture. The three countries are planning to export renewable energy to Europe, as reported by Zakon.kz.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan confirmed that the agreement was made during a meeting of the energy and economy ministers from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan in Baku. The discussions at the meeting centered around the prospects of exporting electricity from Central Asian countries to Europe through Azerbaijan.
Following the meeting, the ministers signed a joint communiqué acknowledging the countries’ potential in the renewable energy sector and their willingness to participate in the project to export electricity from alternative sources to Europe.
This development signals the commitment of these countries to sustainable and environmentally friendly energy practices, and it also opens up new opportunities for collaboration and mutual benefit in the region. As the global demand for clean energy continues to grow, this agreement represents a significant step forward in the efforts to meet that demand and contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
