CEO Vigna Confirms Electric Ferrari with Engine Roar by 2025

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has made an exciting promise to fans of the luxury automaker – the first electric Ferrari set to hit the roads in 2025 will still have the iconic roaring sound that enthusiasts love. In a time where electric cars are known for their silent operation, Ferrari is aiming to preserve the thrill of their historic internal combustion engines in their electric offerings.
According to reports from CNBC, Ferrari is gearing up to launch their electric vehicle in the last quarter of 2025. The company is set to establish a new production facility in Maranello, Italy, in June to manufacture electric motors, battery packs, and power inverters for their upcoming electric cars.
Ferrari’s vision includes capturing a significant market share with a new line of high-performance electric supercars. By 2026, they anticipate that around 60 percent of their sales will be comprised of fully electric and hybrid vehicles.
CEO Benedetto Vigna underlined Ferrari’s commitment to delivering top-notch performance, design, and driving experience in their electric car range. He emphasized that Ferrari’s electric vehicles will not lack in the distinctive character that sets them apart. Vigna stated, “We believe we can offer our customers a unique experience by leveraging technology in an unparalleled manner – that’s the essence of our company.”
While electric powertrains are typically quiet, Ferrari engineers are working to replicate the beloved roar of combustion engines in their electric models to maintain the brand’s legacy in sports cars dating back to 1947.
Ferrari’s financial performance has also been impressive, with shares soaring in 2024 and annual net profit surpassing 1 billion euros, marking a 34 percent increase from the previous year. The company is poised for an exciting future as it ventures into the realm of electric vehicles while staying true to its heritage of performance and luxury.
