Ceremony at BRT Today for Deceased Retiree Ayşe Başar
Ayşe Başar, a longtime employee of the Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation, has sadly passed away. Başar began her career as a news and program announcer in the Turkish section of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 1953. Following the events of 22 December 1963, she, along with her colleagues, moved to Bayrak Radio where she continued her work until her retirement in 1978.
A ceremony will be held today at 11:00 at Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation to honor Ayşe Başar, who passed away at the age of 99. Following the ceremony, Başar will be buried in the Nicosia cemetery after a funeral prayer at the Ismail Safa Mosque.
Ayşe Başar made significant contributions to the field of broadcasting during her career and will be remembered fondly by her colleagues and listeners. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.
