Fenerbahçe OPET and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit clinch spots in CEV Women’s Champions League quarter-finals
In the latest action from the CEV Women’s Champions League, Turkish representatives Fenerbahçe OPET and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit have secured their spots in the quarter-finals.
Fenerbahçe OPET hosted Polish team Grot Budowlani in the sixth match of Group C and emerged victorious with a 3-0 win. The yellow-dark blue team has maintained a perfect record, winning all 6 matches with a score of 3-0 and finishing at the top of the group to secure their place in the quarter-finals.
On the other hand, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Italian representative Savino Del Bene in the 6th match of Group B. Despite the loss, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit finished second in the group and earned the right to compete in the play-offs.
Tijana Boskovic stood out for Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, scoring 27 points and emerging as the top scorer in the match.
Meanwhile, VakıfBank, competing in CEV Champions League Group A, booked their spot in the play-offs by defeating the Italian Allianz Vero Volley team 3-2. With this result, VakıfBank became the third Turkish representative to qualify for the quarter-finals.
