Chairman of Cabinet reviews construction projects in Karakol

Bishkek, April 17, 2025 – The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, recently conducted a working visit to the Issyk-Kul region to oversee various construction projects in Karakol.

During his visit, Kasymaliev visited the construction sites of mortgage housing in Karakol and Cholpon-Ata, part of the Menin Uyum (My Home) program. The project aims to provide 5,112 apartments to citizens of Kyrgyzstan by the end of 2028. These apartments will be distributed among those on the waiting list for housing, with options for social, preferential, and affordable mortgage areas.

The Chairman also inspected the construction of a brick factory in Jeti-Oguz district, which is set to be completed by the fall of 2025. With an investment of $6.5 million, the factory will have the capacity to produce up to 200,000 bricks per day, providing job opportunities for local residents.

Furthermore, a meeting was held at the presidential representative office in the region to discuss the project “Growth Points for 2025-2026 for Issyk-Kul Region.” This project aims to improve infrastructure, develop the business environment, and enhance the quality of life in the region, ultimately contributing to its social and economic development.

Overall, these construction projects are part of the government’s efforts to provide affordable housing, create job opportunities, and boost economic growth in the Issyk-Kul region.
