Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers Visits Industrial Enterprises in Chui Region
On March 20, 2025, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, visited several industrial enterprises in the Chui region. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that Kasymaliev toured the Junda plant of China Petrol Company in Ak-Bashat village, Zhaiyl district, to oversee the progress of its reconstruction.
Following modernization, the Junda plant will be able to meet over 40% of the domestic market demand for refined petroleum products in Kyrgyzstan. Products from the plant will include gasoline AI 95, AI 92, AI 80, diesel fuel, liquefied gas, fuel oil, heating oil, and tar.
Kasymaliev instructed for the modernization work to be completed by December 31, 2025, in accordance with the previous investment agreement.
In addition to the Junda plant, Kasymaliev also visited Zilan Eversun Textile LLC in the city of Kara-Balta. A Turkish investor has taken over the former carpet factory of Kara-Balta-Kilem LLC, which had been inactive for more than 20 years, to establish textile production.
The investor plans to utilize the former toy factory premises for additional production, creating 450 new jobs. There are also plans to construct a women’s dormitory to accommodate 100 people and expand the clothing factory’s capacity, generating a total of 1,200 new jobs. All products from the textile factory will be exported.
These visits by Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev underscore the government’s commitment to promoting industrial growth and creating employment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan’s Chui region.
