
Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet meets with President of Kazakhstan

Bishkek, February 25, 2025 – A meeting between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, and the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, took place in Astana as part of the official visit of the Kyrgyz Republic delegation to Kazakhstan.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that during the meeting, the two leaders discussed optimizing processes on the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan border. One of the main topics of discussion was the introduction of an electronic queue system for road carriers, aimed at reducing waiting time and congestion.
Additionally, the parties also talked about simplifying cargo inspection procedures and the progress of opening additional checkpoints such as Kichi-Kapka – Besagash and Kamyshanovka – Ak-Suu.
Both Adylbek Kasymaliev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed their commitment to further developing and strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This meeting highlights the ongoing cooperation between the two countries to enhance border processes and promote mutual growth and prosperity.
