Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Met with Representatives of Leading World Companies
On September 26, 2024, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held meetings with representatives of leading companies from around the world. The guests expressed their gratitude for the personal meeting with the National Leader and extended congratulations to him and the people of Turkmenistan on the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence.
One of the meetings was with Csaba Leiko, the President for the Development of Strategic Partnerships in Central Asia at John Deere. Discussions revolved around the potential for future cooperation between Turkmenistan and the company, particularly in the agricultural sector. It was highlighted that John Deere is a longstanding and trusted partner of Turkmenistan’s agro-industrial complex, with a focus on strengthening their business ties further.
Additionally, Chairman Berdimuhamedov met with the leaders of Bouygues, including the sons of the general director and the head of the Bouygues Batiman International company. The parties acknowledged the significant progress achieved under the leadership of the National Leader, which has transformed the lives of the Turkmen people and boosted the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan on the international stage.
Appreciating the congratulations and well-wishes from the representatives of the French company, Chairman Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for their partnership over the last 30 years, highlighting the architectural projects that have enhanced the city of Ashgabat. He also extended an invitation for Bouygues to participate in the construction and equipping of buildings in the Medical Cluster of the new city of Arkadag.
The guests commended their positive experiences working in Turkmenistan, particularly during the construction of the Oguzkent Hotel in Ashgabat. They noted the fruitful collaboration in implementing large-scale projects as part of Turkmenistan’s national urban planning program.
Chairman Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s openness to cooperation with major companies, including Bouygues, and its readiness to explore new opportunities for urban development projects. The leaders of Bouygues expressed their confidence in the successful continuation of their partnership, thanking Chairman Berdimuhamedov for his trust and support.
