Child Kidnapper Arrested in Namangan
A 47-year-old man in the Chartak district of Namangan region was arrested for kidnapping an 11-year-old girl. The incident occurred when the man, identified as A.I., tricked the girl into his apartment while she was playing on the street. A vigilant neighbor witnessed the abduction and immediately reported it to the police.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the kidnapped girl in A.I.’s home and promptly returned her to her family. It was later discovered that A.I. had a history of previous convictions, having been convicted five times before this incident.
The kidnapping took place on June 12, 2024, at around 7:30 p.m. when A.I. lured the young girl into his home on Ziyokor Street. The neighbor’s quick response led to the girl being rescued and the suspect being taken into custody.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 137-2, Paragraph “a” (Abduction of a minor) of the Criminal Code. The authorities are now investigating the matter further to ensure justice is served for the victim and to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.
