Children to Appear in Court for Narin Güran Murder Case on March 20 – Türkiye News Update
The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who went missing on 21 August 2024 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found on 8 September 2024, has been concluded by the Chief Public Prosecutor of Diyarbakır. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has accepted the indictment against three children, referred to as Children RA (16), MG (16), and İ.K. (17), and they are set to appear before the judge on March 20.
Additionally, a request has been made to merge the case with another lawsuit involving 12 defendants, 6 of whom are currently detained. The request states that consolidating the cases would prevent any potential damage to the judiciary and ensure procedural efficiency.
The investigation also includes 12 suspects, 6 of whom are currently in custody, in connection to the murder of Narin Güran. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has prepared an indictment requesting imprisonment ranging from 6 months to 5 years for “favorite criminal”, which will be reviewed by the Diyarbakir 17th Criminal Court of First Instance.
